I just got really peed off with that referee and the whole Iran team. Really awful game and most of the time I watched with the sound off. How anyone can go to a football match and listen to those idiots blowing their air horns all the way through I will never understand. They shouldn't be allowed into the ground with them, just confiscate them and drop them in a bin with the Iran team.

No offence meant to any Iranian members pray

That ref was awful. He won't be back at a World Cup again as a referee. Surprised to hear that Egypt had already complained about him in the Russia game so makes you wonder what FIFA are thinking. Though tonights Nigeria v Argentina game was the total opposite in refereeing standards and the use of VAR.

At least we don't have, oh wait, maybe it wasn't air horns but this attrocity from the South Africa World Cup (turn it up, you know you want to):

Don't forget, Thursday between 630 and 7pm  you can tune in and listen to 30 mins of droning on otherwise known as the England build up sob

The only one not pre-empting anything with England is Gareth Southgate. Very conscious of the fact we want to win, he said today he hasn't yet decided on the team as there are many 'other players' he needs to use.

The pundits are even discussing the 'high probability' of Kane being awarded the Golden Boot. rolling_eyes

I can see Kane and the other likely lads being sustitutes or even rested. Belgium may well do the same with their big guns too. So stand by for an England defeat with the pundits all making excuses for the 'weakened' team. Interesting Argentina game tonight. I had them as one of my pre tournament favourites so I'm hoping we see the best of them now the playing 'not to lose' group matches are almost over.

What a shock!! Germany were the favourites to win I thought. Still there is no chance now that we will lose to them in another penalty shootout  relieved

But there's always Spain, Portugal, Argentina and at least 1 of 4 others we could add to the list before July ends rofl
