Love your poems @Pennywren
They are therapeutic to me
Turn To You ... ... ... I immediately thought of my dear dad Roy, bless him ... 5 years since he passed away ... but ... always in my heart ... I think of him most night-times when looking at the sky ... dad's star shines brightly in the heavens
Always A Daddy's Girl
I was good at poetry at grammar school, enjoyed it immensely. Not much good at composing poetry myself though
Will type in my favourite poem asap

I can assure you that your poem wouldn't have upset @Anonymous
Knowing her well, she loves anything which reminds her of her dad Roy.

Love your poem called Spring @Anonymous
As someone who hates winter, the first signs of spring are a tonic to me.
Thanks for posting......

Love your poem "Spring" @Pennywren
Although I was born in December, I hate the winter months and the cold and look forward to Spring, so your poem made me think of the positive things to come. Thank you for sharing it.

I have been trying to find my favourite poem
I thought it was called 'Trees' by Sir John Masefield, poet laureate for about 35 years until his death in 1967
I can remember the line:
'The silver birch is a dainty lady ... she wears a satin gown'
Trust me not to remember correctly what I love

Your poem 'Spring' @Pennywren is a tonic
I love looking foreward to Spring
I was born in the middle of January, but don't take to Winter
I see snowdrops are coming up in gardens around town
Thinking of @Glory1 who used to love the Winter 😞
She is up there is the heavens having a laugh at us on the Community, particularly in Off-Topic.
