Facebook does it again. Hope you're not one of the 14 million.

I had my facebook account disabled...😭 by Facebook ...even though I've had it for nearly 10 years. And at one point it was fairly heavily used, work contacts, relations, friends, pictures and so on,  but lately not so much.

Over the last year, all bar three cousins were deleted, along with all my history, ever. I was down to a logo of an E (phonetic spelling of first syllable  of  Ian) for Asphalt 8 car game racing purposes, my name was again changed to display over my cars, and Facebook held my back up Asphalt data. No other activity at all in the latest six months - apart from periodic automatic data updates in-game from Gameloft

So apparently it's okay for facebook to mine your data and sell advertising based on what you do, and how you interact or who you are if you are famous, and latch you onto scam premium numbers, and allow hackers to steal your data, and so on.

But as soon as the advantage is all in your side and none on theirs and you are using Facebook and not the otherway round   it's adiós amigo!! I've appealed but I'm not holding my breath.

Free and always will be? Apparently not!

While I have a Facebook account it is purely to save my games' progress. I rarely post, and fortunately didn't post during the affected period. How useless are they when it comes to privacy 🙄

How ridiculous that they only discovered it 5 days after the event.

I did post between the times stated...however it was F1 related and as the information FB has on me is extremely limited, I doubt anyone would find it of interest. Rolleys

I don't tend to post a lot, but I do wonder if this affects everyone - app and web users alike, or if it was one or the other...

I am also appalled at the way people post on FB @Poppysmum

I really am amazed at what people think we want to know about  their day to day activities. poop
