Thanks for posting this @Bambino.

I have been watching the commemoration ceremonies yesterday and today, in Normandy and Portsmouth. 

So poignant, courageous and inspiring.

Most of the  old soldiers are aged between 96 - 100+. This will be the last time they will be attending anything like this again.

Listening to all their stories is heart wrenching. So many lost and dead from the Normandy landings 80 years ago.

They gave their lives so we could have ours. ❤️

Yes, it is all very sad. However, there are plenty of inspirational stories around and some very interesting articles for those who are fascinated by military history. 👍
