O2 had best results for calls and texts but was behind EE in mobile internet according to a report published by Root Metrics since the rollout of 4G on O2 and Vodafone.

So the annoying Kevin Bacon advert is correct then? EE has the best overall data network?

EE is great for data - just don't try and make a phone call 😞
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I was so tempted to migrate to ee as the network supported my iPhone 5 on 4g, but that's no use if the whole package doesn't work 😞

Making calls is painful. They always drop out - and I do mean always.
We have a "boostbox" at work and even with phones getting a full signal, no one can make it work for calls.
We are supposed to have a dedicated EE technical team working on our issue as we manage literally thousands of phones across many contracts but even they are hopeless.
Our company is currently looking at switching to a new provider (note we are a nationwide company so it's not a location based issue).

That's very poor from EE, it's not that surprising that O2 chose to use an app instead of a box, they ran tests on these going back at least 4 years and decided universal use of a box wasn't the way to go.

Their cell towers are hopelessly overloaded. One of the tech guys told us that when they merged to become EE they rationalised many of the T Mob / Orange masts but did it without any (much) thought for capacity. So they shove everything through around 70% of the masts that T Mob / Orange had independantly.....
