... Channeling my inner Tom Hanks.

In all seriousness, though, I'll be away next week, between the 21-25 March.

Not exactly a desert island, but I am off to Tenerife (never been before) for just under a week πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ.

It'll be my first time abroad in one two three years. And if the weather holds up, it'll be my first warm holiday in about five years. My to-do list includes the following:

πŸ„  To survive surfing the waves

🍹 Drink some sickly and sweet cocktails

🌞 Actually, catch a tan too

Inbetween those plans, I'll also be doing some reading. I have a non-fiction already lined up, so if anyone has any fiction recommendations, I would love to hear them, please πŸ“š!

Obviously, this means I won't be able to answer tags or messages right away. So, please, contact @RafaC or @Martin-O2 with any queries. If you do want to message me something, I'll likely get back to you on the 28th March πŸ˜.

I hope you all have a great week. Looking forward to catching up on everything I miss πŸ€—.

Thank you, @RunrigForever πŸ˜. And to everyone else again for commenting previously.

I'm finally back (feels like forever!) and happy to be home. That first cup of tea was phenomenal.

There was quite a bit of sun. When overcast, it would get chilly with the breeze. My hotel was on top of a massive hill, so I managed to burn whatever calories gained from food and drink everyday πŸ€£.

Did a bit of surfing - €15 for half a day with a wetsuit and boots. Was knackered after 20 minutes, so took a break and got back out there eventually πŸ˜…. I guess surfers aren't on a see-food and alcohol diet in the days before they take to the waves... the surf itself was great, but much bigger waves and busier waters than I have been used to over the years in Wales. Blue, clear sea though πŸŒŠ!

Managed to see Mount Teide from the plane too, @pgn. But, that was the last I saw of it. The holiday ended up being a bit of a cheap and cheerful one. A lot of chilling out and not many activities booked.

Now pretty much caught up on my emails and whatnot, I'm going to see what I've missed this past week on the community πŸ€—!
