I've learnt various words on different occasions when DIY is attempted in this house.

Over the years it has got better as skills are improved.

However, only one of us is allowed in the garden.

In fact if I'm honest, my other half thinks nothing to do with the garden is a real bonus.

Headphones for the littl'uns, yes. I used to have echo-cancelling headphones, but found they prevented me from being aware of whatever mayhem may be happening elsewhere in the house... 😣

Amazing how working in an open plan office in normal times equips you with the skills to cut out extraneous domestic sounds without needing to wear a set of cans!
