And that famous well-used phrase that I highlighted to Toby recently >>>>>>
"The restaurant chain added that it took "food safety and hygiene extremely seriously".

You would probably be ok with the KFC chicken...just don't ask for water with ICE....(it was the ice which was contaminated) Yuck.....

I worry about getting ice in drinks from anywhere and as a general rule I don't ask for ice.
At fast food chains, ice is usually essentially as a means of half-filling the cup with less expensive coke/orange etc. The drinks are already ice cold so why the need for ice, I always make sure my drink comes without ice, ensuring i get what I pay for.

They actually asked for tap water with ice. A lethal mix anyway (in my opinion). I am not sure whether it's KFC who should be blamed or those he provided the ice? I make that comment as in Spain all the bars buy bags of ice. They don't make their own....

I'm not sure why they singled out KFC? You could probably go into any fast food place and find the same. It's just basic hygiene. People aren't washing their hands, but that's always been the case. I remember reading an article once a long time ago where they analyzed a bowl of peanuts sitting on a bar in a pub, and they found 43 different urine specimens on the peanuts. YEUCH!!!!

As in all of these cases, it's what they didn't tell you they found that you need to be concerned about.
I'd be more worried if they found chicken in the nuggets because as far as I can remember the one occasion I had them they tasted like cardboard.

Same here but I really don't want my drink watered down even more!

It's the unexplained brown lumpy bits that would concern me.
