The 02 Community is renown for its members offering help and for caring.
It is with great pleasure that I can announce that, thanks to the support of members of this Community, an adoption has been set up with the Born Free Foundation for what is known as the Elephant Family.
The Born Free Adoption Certificate will be in the name of the "02 Community".
It has been decided that one of these elephants should be named HOPE.
The adoption pack, with the adoption certifciate and photos of these beautiful creatures, should be received within the next few days and will be posted on this thread.
In the meantime, here is a short video of these beautiful elephants and the Born Free Foundation:

Certainly something I support totally @Mi-Amigo
Along with the awful practice regarding Canned Lion Hunting. Despicable.

Thanks for the article @Mi-Amigo. Trophy hunting, quite disgusting. All these beautiful animals like the big cats hunted for their heads and skin and elephants hunted for their ivory tusks, absolutely appalling. Definitely a ban, the sooner the better, I say.

If all countries (China I accuse you!!) stopped buying and importing these fine animals and their various body parts, perhaps we can save these magnificent creatures from extinction. There needs to be tighter control of the black market.

Loved the video @Mi-Amigo . The one that followed it made me laugh. A herd of elephants at Kruger National Park spooked by a swarm of bees.....

Wonderful news about Hope!
After having had to report on the sad loss of Hope`s twin sister, I am happy to report that Amboseli Trust for Elephants posted the following on Facebook just two days ago:
Paru was one of very few elephants that have given birth to twins. Sadly one of them didn’t survive, but we are happy to report that Paru’s remaining male calf is thriving. He is very well looked after by his mother, cousin, and older sister.
