I defy anyone with my level of concentration and defective eyesight to spot the difference in picture quality

Woah! I think I'll stick to the generic one that came with the PlayStation! Does the job and wont require a bank loan to get started

In days of past tech, it was all analog transmission so the quality of the cable mattered but only if you an ultra-nerdy about the minute difference or indeed, you suffered from spurious noise as the local boy racer went past the street. Else it was relatively cheap to upgrade to thicker gauge cables which does make a difference in audio. Though not in all cases as the impedence plays a part as does the type of cable used in manufacturing.
Digital transmission is literally sending a series of 1's and 0's with the end points dealing with the error corrections. So yes, the poundland hdmi cable is more than sufficient for oh 99.99% of cases for consumer equipment unless you need to travel long distances between devices then a thicker gauge cable is worth seeking out.
And a darn sight easier to swap out should a pet decide to rewire it

@sheepdog Yes I've had a few pet DIY jobs over the years. I'm sure they were only trying to help though
