Until the mods on this site learn some manners, I will not be posting any further.

I'm not looking for an appology, or even an explanation - Just some common courtesy.

Well, well.... Both myself and perksie have had posts deleted overnight. I've not had an PM about this (surprise, surprise) so the "system" still isn't working

Hm, I just looked it up.

Someone's message got removed and since your and perksie's replies didn't make sense without that removed message, they were removed as well.

The OP did receive a PM, so it looks like it all worked fine. I'm not sure if it would add any value to also PM repliers in these kinds of cases.

Yes Leonard, I know why (in this case) but that's not the point..... I "thought" the agreement was that all moderation would be open and communicated fully to those effected?

I agree with Mi5 all should get a pm

Any form of moderation needs to be communicated to all either in the thread or by pm.

Occasionally in MacRumors when a particular post has been removed for whatever reason and other members have interacted by quoting the post etc the moderators have PM'd me as a courtesy to ;

a, Let me know my post has been removed due to anothers members infraction.

b, To provide peace of mind that my post was solely removed at no fault of my own.

I have been reading all the comments about "mods", to try and find out what a mod is/was. (Ithought it was like Mods versus rockers.):smileywink:

Finally daylight dawned.

However, I'm wondering why anyone would want to write remarks that are designed to upset others. Are they sadists, or is it like the ones who "collect" ASBOs as if they are medals?

As far as I'm concerned, the forums are valuable for helping each other, and having a bit of fun,just to make people smile, not start arguments.
