Nominations for the General Election on Thursday have now closed.

Sky have produced an online list of all the candidates for all the constituencies - see here 

As in previous elections, there are amusing "political parties" and funny candidates standing...

which might lighten the mood of the voters and the country

I might not agree with his politics (as I'm not a republican and am anti-Brexit) but the man's got excellent comic timing and has made some really amusing quips over the years.

 

He also seems to be pretty incorruptable from what I've read which is rare, it's a shame he lost his seat.
