Nominations for the General Election on Thursday have now closed.
Sky have produced an online list of all the candidates for all the constituencies - see here
As in previous elections, there are amusing "political parties" and funny candidates standing...
which might lighten the mood of the voters and the country

So it's a Conservative win. Seats that Labour have held for years have been taken by the opposition. Jo Swinson has lost her seat and Jeremy Corbyn will be standing down

Dennis Skinner - known as the Beast of Bolsover - the UK's longest-serving MP, has lost his seat after the Conservatives won the constituency of Bolsover for the first time in its history.
Dennis Skinner, 87, who had represented the area for Labour since 1970 and had been elected to parliament at 13 consecutive elections, received 16,492 votes but was beaten by Mark Fletcher, Conservatives, with 21,791 votes. The Brexit Party received 4,151 votes, and the Liberal Democrats got 1,759 votes.
Had Dennis Skinner won the seat he would have become Father of the House in the Commons.

This has upset me greatly.
Parliament needs more of this type of mp, not less.
