It irks me how they think they can shrug this off like it's nothing..

Well I care @Anonymous which is why I keep my FB use to the absolute minimun. Wouldn't have it at all if it wasn't for keeping my games data when I upgrade to a new phone.

My life is not an open book and I don't want FB sharing my data with anyone, even Amazon with whom I have a very active account.

But that's just it.. I don't think anyone knows who has what any more.

When you allow Facebook to soak up your Contacts, even the people who don't have Facebook, their email address, phone number and personal details get added to the data.

I never gave permission for that to happen, but the friend with Facebook did. Is that legal...i doubt it,

But who's willing to challenge them on it?

Looks as if they might face a hefty fine for this. Better than nothing, I suppose.

I agree @Anonymous a hefty fine will do little while millions continue to post their life on FB. But how easy would it be to shut them down? Zuckerberg is not likely to sit back and even let them try. And he can well afford the best lawyers to find loopholes in any strategy to shut them down.
