Just a reminder to any and all interested. Dancing On Ice starts tomorrow on ITV at 18:00.

Personally am really looking forward to it, particularly as Torville and Dean are now on the judging panel.

Bottom line Jane we all have our own opinions. Lemar shouldn't have been in the skate off at all.

Cheryl should have taken that spot. However, the public voted to keep her in.

Candice was bottom of the leaderboard with all the judges in Week one scoring

Candice Brown

 3.533.53           13

Whereas Lemar came in the middle of the leaderboard when he skated in week 2

Lemar....Brooke Vincent....Cheryl Baker

 443.53.515
 3.53.53313
 3332.511.5

I think considering all the obstacles Lemar had to overcome, he was definitely better out of the two.

Just to add a sarcastic/jovial note here. You say Lemar's legs were bent. Never got a chance to see if the same applied to Candice as she was up in the air so much joy

It's a pity she was paired with Matt Evers as he is also one of my favourite pro skaters.

Thank you @Cleoriff ... & ... @Glory1 ... re: Cheryl Baker continuing to bleat about her poor back = it's only done to 'curry favour' with the voting public ... she deffo can't skate ... yes, Daniel Wiston is a fave male pro dancer of mine too

Luvving how the pro dancers are choreographing the routines

Highlight is the pro dancers dancing together for me

Saw Chris & Jayne on the ice practsing for a tour (DOI?) ... it was on a vid following on from the one you posted Cleo' of Jayne & Chris doing their pasa doble with Jayne in that iconic cape dress in black / white / trimmed with gold Dance Dance

Edit: adding a word

Well sorry as I am to see Stephanie go I feel it was the right decision. I agreed with Jane and Chris Lemar spent more time on the ice then Stephanie though neither skated well.

Lemar really has to up his game as there was no improvement from last week. He appears nervous on the ice and stiff so I get why he's in the skate-off.

Of the other celebrities Perri, Kem, Mac and Jake were the best. Jake, I thought was brilliant and he got all my votes.

Anthony pretty much the same as last week so I agree with Jason on that. He is not comfortable on skates and it shows.

Cheryl was the worst of all but her fans kept her in. She held on to her partner for dear life. She should have been in the skate off.

One thing I'm confused about though; @Anonymous mentioned Lemar's bent knees last week. When Lemar and his partner went into the skate-off this week I heard her say 'remember to bend your knees'. So he's simply doing what his professiinal partner told him. Not having ever skated on ice - much too clumsy and I have balance issues - also coming late into Dancing on Ice I don't understand about the bent knee @Anonymous pointed out. I should add that I watched the skaters tonight and all of them bent their knees; whether gracefully or not so gracefully.

The above comments are not a criticism of @Anonymous but a genuine case of not understanding what the rules are regarding bent knees in skating. Also I should add that apart from Torville and Dean my knowledge of professional skaters is very very limited.

Edited for spelling

Not saying too much this week as I am enraged Cheryl is still there!!!

Saved... no doubt by people who think she is great 'for her age', loved Bicks Fizz, or like Dan Whiston her partner.

So Stephanie and Lemar end up in the skate off....

On this occasion I dont agree with Jayne and Chris.

In my opinion (as an armchair 'specialist' lol) I think Stephanie was better in the skate off. However, I will bow to their better judgement.

Jake was brilliant as was Perrie. I thought Kem made some mistakes at the beginning and didn't deserve that high score.

Brooke is improving so I'm glad she was saved.

One good thing? Less adverts. They had to get all contestants into 2hrs 10 mins so tonight I felt it was a bit rushed LOL

Oh...did I tell you I am furious that Cheryl is still in?. Absolute shocker...clown

Bit of an addition here as I am watching Vera and am slow typing.

Good to see the @Glory1 and I disagree about the saved candidate. joy

I fully support Lemar as he has had a lot of obstacles to overcome...brought in last minute etc. However I saw no improvement in him this week from last week.....He also stumbled at the end of the skate off.

Stephanie had improved no end and I felt she had more to give...

I can see Lemar being in the skate off every week, and unless he goes up against Cheryl he will probably be saved again..

Such a shame that the public save people for all the wrong reasons...upside_down

Edited to add I am NOT a fan of Torville and Dean as judges. Bit of an outrageous thing to say ...but the show worked better when they were coaching and skating.

I think DOI has returned on a bit of a low budget ths year...

I'll try to explain @Glory1 as to how I see it ... you do have to bend your legs & skate into the ice ... but ... imagine when the celebrity is doing a lunge step - the front leg is bent at the knee & the back one is straight = locked at the knee ... also imagine when the celeb is 2 feet togetherish / glide step then both legs need to be straight locked at the knee again ... same as in SCD (Strictly Come Dancing) usually in the samba = should be bend & straighten, but usually isn't ... at one point in Jayne & Chris's competitive career they were being advised, on the rink side, by Michael Styllianos = a well known top latin american dancer att (partner Lorna Lee)

Come back to me @Glory1 if I've not explained myself properly ... = ... times to bend, times to straighten the legs depending on the particular dance variation ... you have not criticised me, not at all ... well done you for bringing it up

Cheryl should have been in the dance off, then voted off by the judges

Well we can't agree all the time @Cleoriff 😂. Though I do agree with you that Stephanie improved no end since last week. But I felt Stephanie spent a lot of time in the air and she was very nervous which showed

Believe me I was willing Stephanie to do well; as I've said more than once I'm a Hollyoaks fan. But Lemar did skate more; not well but more.

I also agree with you @Cleoriff that Lemar could well be in the skate-off again next week and, if saved, the week after. Up against Cheryl, who should have been in the skate-off (I'd have been better and I can't skate 🤣) he'll be saved but up against any halfway decent skater he's toast.

So, in conclusion, we do agree on everything except who should've been voted off. Not too bad then LOL

Thank you Jane I've now got a better understanding of when to bend the knee and when not. Putting it in the context of SCD helped tremendously Handshake

Thank you @Glory1 ... I wasn't sure I had it in me to explain ... I think I've got a 'thing' about 'bent legs' ... always look for it in SCD ... Hug

Outrageous it may be @Cleoriff but I agree I prefer Torville and Dean skating and coaching. I feel they're uncomfortable in their new roles.
