The first of 12 contestants has been announced for the new series starting in 2021

The judging panel remains the same as last year with Torvill and Dean, AShley Banjo and John Barrowman.

It will be hosted by Phil and Holly.

I read somewhere there will be a change in professional skaters. Not sure of all of them, though I do know that Alex Murphy who partnered Joe Swash to his unexpected win last year, has not been asked to return!

Lady Leshurr ? Another celeb, I`ve never heard of.

Still I ain`t gonna judge or criticise until I see all of them take to the ice.

Lady WhoHer? Apparantly big in some circles. Around Solihull  (I've been to Solihull for work purposes and its not a bad place really). Guess this is the tail end of the celeb announcements so no more big names coming?

I have friends who live in Solihull and it is a nice place

My car was stolen from outside of the Bury call centre when I worked for O2
It was found a week later in Solihull where it had been used in an armed robbery
Musn't grumble though, the insurance paid more than it was worth

11th Contestant (so another one to come) Billie Shepherd who 'rose to fame' with The Only Way Is Essex. Is on another TV reality show now on ITV2.

The 12th and final contestant announced today. Rufus Hound, comedian, actor and presenter.

So there you have it. I think these contestants are probably better than those for SCD.

Thank you for the info on the contestants for DOI @Cleoriff 

Seems to be a good mix which should appeal to a wide audience [by that I mean the inclusion of soap and reality TV stars, who might not be my preference but do have a following].

Can`t wait to see how they manage their first steps on the ice and no doubt there`s gonna be some surprises and hopefully some hilarious moments...

@Cleoriff better than SCD this year but then with now 4 ex-SCD, it might even be better. Still at least they didn't go for Ann Widdecome or John Sargent so we should be grateful for these ones
