From last year they were Sleeping Beeuties 2018 to
This year 2019 again these little kind and sweet bees have caught me unaware and when I opened
the sleeping box there were a few anxious looking faces! So up went the boxes sharpish
and they were put on top to feel the fresh air and off they flew ~ they'll be back always
to the same spot they first remember.
These are the boxes facing South in the hot sun.
This is a box with an emerging bee under the release box top.
Wildlife have no respect for photographers!

By contrast I feel sad today as I saw the fox that comes in every night for a jam or peanut sandwich lying by the side of the road, I wondered where she was. Bless her.
Sorry to hear this @TallTrees ... you must be feeling sad ... is the picture one of yours ?
I've never been close to a fox ... but have an affinity with them, if that's the right thing to say
Yes, bless the vixen

Nature: @TallTrees
There is a butterfly in my workroom
Something like a Red Admiral ... but ... it isn't a Red Admiral ... will it 'hibernate'
I have lots of ladybirds in both upper rooms overlooking the canal ... feeding off the 'verdigris' on the inside of the windows = can't clean them as hard to get to
Several moths on the landing where the ceiling meets the walls

It is a very sad story about the fox, though as we have more and more urban foxes, this is something which will happen on a frequent basis.
There is a programme on TV currently called Animals After Dark on Ch 5.(Thursday evenings) Fascinating really. The team have night cameras and we are following the progress of Foxes, Hedgehogs, Badgers, domestic cats, otters, wolves etc. All in the UK.
Lovely programme. Well worth a watch

I see they are doing this in Holland. Covering the top of bus stops with plants to suit bees
