Just thought I would add another

This place has gotten a whole lot worse lately, part's of this board are turning in to a social media forum full of non related rubbish & link's being posted just so users post counts go higher, carry on like this & it will be as bad as the Giff Gaff forum!

I know im a happy ex O2 customer, looking at the state of this forum it would certainly put me of ever rejoining.

That is the point. There is no solution  to suit everyone but in essence this is a technical forum where people can get answers from customers.  People are first drawn here  to ask a question or to vent. They want an answer not to know what everyone had for breakfast or their shoe choice. 

I don't envy Toby hos job, he has  to  keep everyone happy but there are enough social media sites if that us your want.

As I said, you can't please everyone but why have so many left the community over the last 2 years? I know because I'm still in contact with a lot of them...

So you think that someone is being disrespectful? This is a discussion. People are putting forward their points of view. Those points, as far as I see it, are being aired so Toby can weigh up how people view the subject. To try and develop a solution in consultation with us that will be acceptable for all, or at least most, not to issue an edict on how things will be.

I didn't say anyone was being disrespectful - I just said that we should respect/understand that he has a lot of thinking to do to decide what to do for the best.

As far as I'm aware I have been nothing but respectful to everyone but it's in  everyone's interest to put forward their point of view. Your's  differs from mine but that doesn't mean I respect you any the less. ....

All i'm trying to say is that it is hard for Toby to do his job when there are so many members with different views and it will take him time to try to find a solution that will please almost everyone (as it is impossible to please every single member).  Hopefully the people who disagree with Toby's solution will not leave the forum.

And me. We are putting forward our opinions to try to help Toby develop a solution, not to make it difficult for him. That's his job. Whatever is decided will never be satisfactory for everyone. We all know that, but the more points of views he gets, the easier it should be for him to see which way the majority are thinking.

To add my two penneth into the debate.

I have been approached by other members in the past who have felt that they have been involved in debate/posting/discussion which has come across as bullying. When I read the threads in most cases I didn't see it but that is my opinion.

One key issue is that the written word can so easily be read in a different way to that intended. Likewise someone reading a post may be in a different or bad place when reading it and thus it may come across other than intended. Finally one persons humour may be another's stress.
