I have been an O2 customer for a while. My son is thinking of changing to O2. Is there a deal for me to get a second number attached to my account or will it cost the same for him to set up his own account?

Check for deals on USwitch @peterblach as they tend to have the best sim only prices.

@peterblach

Additional contracts can get a multisave discount.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Be aware, if your son decides to take out his own contract, he will have to be credit checked etc.

As will the Op, all new connections either as a new or existing customer get credit checked now... @Cleoriff  there is now way to avoid them 😞

Not sure when they started that @madasaf1sh?
I upgraded my sim only contract on the 1st August and was accepted immediately.

No change to previous sim only upgrades.

@Cleoriff  They do a soft check on upgrading SIM only. Full if taking out a new handset.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@EnlliThe last time I bought a phone from O2 was 2012. Since then I've bought outright and been sim only.

This 'upgrade' was £5.00 less than existing, so yes, maybe soft check but not noticed by me. 😂
