Nightmare on getting log in information

My wife is trying to get details on here account. 

Tried resetting password and get a nonsense message of

" we are unable to proceed with recovering your account.

Please contact customer service to recover your account details".

Click on the highlighted text to do this.  Taken to log in page AAAAARGH!! What??!!!!

Click on for help to talk to an agent. Taken to the same poxy log in page.

So I use my account to talk to someone. 

Nobody available. Try later.

For crying out loud O2 sort this out because both of our contracts are long finished.
