I'm a new subscriber, or better still, a prospective subscriber. I had ordered for a sim-only package, and as I write, I'm still expecting the delivery of my sim, but I already received bills which started from 18th of April.

I'm just wondering why billing will be commenced way ahead of receiving the service.
Can anyone advise me.

Hi Adekolar,

Your first bill will be pro-rata, which means that you'll be charged for one full month's airtime.

You’ll get your first bill within four days of joining, and you’ll be charged 14 days after you receive it. Your official billing date is usually the date you joined us, and it will be the same every month.

You can find out more about billing here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/your-bill

I'd suggest calling customer services on 03448090202 to find out what's happening with the delivery of your sim.

@Adekolar

O2 commence billing at the point of order as this is the point at which the sim is activated.

If you call O2 when you actually receive the sim, they will credit your account for the days from activation to when you receive it.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
