If you are a new customer and want to port in you are first given a temporary number until the port completes, this is completely normal, as your old net work has to approve the port and you need a number to port to.
You should get a date from o2 and your old network on when the port will happen, if your dont then contact o2 on 202 or 0344 809 0202
