To update further I did email the CEO. Obviously it is dealt with by a member of staff but I did get the resolution I wanted. I did say that anyone in my position would appreciate them doing the same for them as well and the response was very much that it was only because I had only just taken out the contract, it was sim only and I hadn't really used the phone but I do get the impression that they are trying to help people and making contact higher up may help some who really need it.
