How do I cancel a pending authorisation on paypal from an order that O2 cancelled

You can cancel a pending PayPal payment if you do so before the recipient accepts it:

Log in to your PayPal account

Go to the Activity menu

Select All Transactions

Find the payment

Click the Cancel button next to the payment details

Confirm the cancellation 

PayPal automatically cancels pending or unclaimed payments after 30 days and sends the money back to the original payment method.
