How do you know if your contract has been cancelled?

I cancelled my contract (that ends in August) on the 12th March this year, however, o2 have said that there was no record of this on 'my notes'. I have cancelled it today (13th September) but o2 will not confirm that this has been cancelled until 30 days time. How does one know what 'notes' have been written on your account?

You can request your notes through Subject Access on the o2 website.

 

When you requested to cancel in March, did you call customer services? And did they confirm over the phone on that day that your account was set for termination on a specific date?

I'm a Telefónica UK (O2) employee but post in a personal capacity. As such, views are my own and not those of the company.
