roaming charges

Hi,

Sure I am not the only one. Just got my phone bill, with roaming charges of over 700 Euro (180 MB). Flabbergasted. Very sure I did not use the data roaming. Any advice on how to handle this?

Your first step should be to consult your phone log to see how much data you actually used. If you then feel you didn't use 180megabytes then you can raise a query with O2. Send them an email or letter with details of what you used.

What phone do you have? You may have background apps that have been busily syncing away.

Most smartphones have a "No data when roaming" setting - did you activate yours?

I think we use pounds in the UK.

Well spotted. I wonder whether they meant pounds. Or are they actually not a customer of O2?

That's what I was thinking, thought I would phrase it differently though haha.

Maybe they're a customer of O2IE?

Possibly, 180MB of data on o2 would be £540 in Europe and twice the amount outside of Europe.
