hi i just thought id make a comment about how high the tax is on the phone bills its ridiculas the tariffs cost enough as it is ...... i m being charged over a fiver extra a month vat surely when i first took out tariff shoulda been a fixed rate until contract has ended???? dont know if anyone else feels like this i just thought id have a moan about it as its disgraceful .

The tax on phone bills is the same rate as vat on any item

VAT is included on all consumer tariffs but the bill shows it broken down ex vat + vat on bill = price on website for the consumer tariff
On business tariffs vat is excluded on the tarif price but added on the bill as stated on the business tariff pages!

I understand what your saying but O2 do not have any control over the V.A.T rate that is set.
If you are a personal not business customer then the tariff that you signed up for would have included V.A.T anyway so there are no hidden charges there.
As mentioned the rate has been 20% for a while now and everything that is V.A.T liable would have gone up at the same time.
