hi there 1st post here so lets go

went off on holiday over a month ago came back reported my iphone volume switch has came out (iphone 3g 8gig) over 12 months old
got the insurace £10 a month

o2 insurace accepeted the claim , but they dont have any phones in stock

this has now been going on for 2 weeks , and got a snoty letter back off them this morning saying tough we dont know when we are gettiing them in stock ya just have to wait (words to that effect)

not happy in the least

i asked for the new 3gs , they said no straight away

i pay all my bills ontime (DD) so thay cant throw that back in my face

any help guys nd no i`m not bothering with the ombudsman (waste of time)

tonight i`ve just sent the CEO of o2 uk a email and telling him what has went on with my claim and hope he can sort it out

Not a chance of a personal reply mate. It will go to general complaints but still well done for keeping up the pressure.

well i`ve just had a email back from "on behalf of Executive Relations"via the ceo uk
saying they are very disapointed hearing what i have went through , and be asured that my complaint will be investigated and that a member of the executive relations will be in touch very soon and also left me there direct number
looks like there looking into my complaint i think
comments any1 ?????


Yeah, it's on behalf of, from a normal complaints teams. CEO's will never really get involved, especially not the big multi-nationals. But it doesn't matter because it seems to be getting you somewhere mate.

Just had a phone call from a guy at O2 complaints review and he is bypassing the insurance team and sending me an 8GB 3gs

r u sure there sending u a 3gs 8 gig brand new , i didnt know apple made 8gig 3gs
i think you might be in our boat when that recon turns up
what ever u do dont sign for it untill u open the bag it comes in and deffo dont send your own phone off to o2

Brand new. arrived today in cellophane wrapped apple box with charger headphoines etc.

The 8gb 3gs came out the same day as the iphone 4 and is now the only 3gs model they make.

I have never seen a 8GB 3GS, well they only do 16 & 32 for contract on here

Matthew they have stopped doing the 16gb and 32 3gs and replaced them with 16gb and 32gb versions of 1 phone 4.

The only 3gs model now is the new 8gb 3gs.
