hi there 1st post here so lets go

went off on holiday over a month ago came back reported my iphone volume switch has came out (iphone 3g 8gig) over 12 months old
got the insurace £10 a month

o2 insurace accepeted the claim , but they dont have any phones in stock

this has now been going on for 2 weeks , and got a snoty letter back off them this morning saying tough we dont know when we are gettiing them in stock ya just have to wait (words to that effect)

not happy in the least

i asked for the new 3gs , they said no straight away

i pay all my bills ontime (DD) so thay cant throw that back in my face

any help guys nd no i`m not bothering with the ombudsman (waste of time)

hello all

i called o2 cs 2 days ago to put in a claim for my 16gb 3g which fell down the stairs and wont switch on again. The guy took my details and said i would be called back in 48 hrs. this time passsed so i called again, the girl i spoke to advised me to call o2 insure direct to see what was happening. she gave me 2 numbers to call both 0870 numbers but i found a 0800 number that i used. the girl told me i would be hanging on for ages due to the backlog of claims. however i got straight through to the listening company who must handle the calls for ace.

the claim had not been started, she said that was no problem and started it on phone. she than told me it was successful but that the 3g was no longer made so i would recieve a 16gb 3gs as a replacement. this is to be delivered tomorrow.

i had found this forum thread before i made the call and was expecting the worst. I have been plesently surprised.

it will come in a blue O2 box and not a Apple Iphone box, also doesnt come with charger headphones and instructions like new ones do

2 weeks seems pretty good, when it took a week for the complaint to be sent to the right department.

It looks from talking to other people they have been upgrading the 3g 16 & 32gb for a while as they have been off sale for a long time. The major problems appear to be with the 8gb because that is nearly out of sale, so there are still lots of refurbs coming out.

tonight i`ve just sent the CEO of o2 uk a email and telling him what has went on with my claim and hope he can sort it out
hope he replies

Not a chance of a personal reply mate. It will go to general complaints but still well done for keeping up the pressure.


well i`ve just had a email back from "on behalf of Executive Relations"via the ceo uk

saying they are very disapointed hearing what i have went through , and be asured that my complaint will be investigated and that a member of the executive relations will be in touch very soon and also left me there direct number

looks like there looking into my complaint i think

comments any1 ?????

Hi

Just thought id add my peice, Reported my bust 8gb 3g on Tuesday, Im not an ordinary o2 customer as such i have a business account and a personal representative at o2 due to the size of our contracts i was told by 02 that non were in stock and id be contacted when they came in, obviously its only been 2 days but based on this thread i wont keep my hopes up, no loan or tempoary / alternative phone has been offered.

o2 are poor as for 6 months on 4 contracts we were paying non iphone insurance yet the only handsets on those contracts were iphones...muppets! could have taken them to the cleaners but after being with them for so long i thought id give them the benifit of the doubt,

I was considering using them for my personal home phone and broadband but am reconsidering,
