hi there 1st post here so lets go

went off on holiday over a month ago came back reported my iphone volume switch has came out (iphone 3g 8gig) over 12 months old
got the insurace £10 a month

o2 insurace accepeted the claim , but they dont have any phones in stock

this has now been going on for 2 weeks , and got a snoty letter back off them this morning saying tough we dont know when we are gettiing them in stock ya just have to wait (words to that effect)

not happy in the least

i asked for the new 3gs , they said no straight away

i pay all my bills ontime (DD) so thay cant throw that back in my face

any help guys nd no i`m not bothering with the ombudsman (waste of time)

Just had a phone call from a guy at O2 complaints review and he is bypassing the insurance team and sending me an 8GB 3gs


r u sure there sending u a 3gs 8 gig brand new , i didnt know apple made 8gig 3gs

i think you might be in our boat when that recon turns up

what ever u do dont sign for it untill u open the bag it comes in and deffo dont send your own phone off to o2

Not a chance of a personal reply mate. It will go to general complaints but still well done for keeping up the pressure.

well not only was I told I couldn't have the 3gs 8gb new but only the desire, I rang up to find out about the simplicity tariff I had been moved to. Told it was no long er iPhone but now an android tariff. Asked if it was identical, and was told it didn't include any data and that would be an extra £5 a month. So I would be downgrading my phone and also taking a worse contract. On the phone I had been told it was an identical contract. Even when they are doing something they still manage to cock it up.

Not trying to wind anyone up as some of you are having trouble. but more as a glimpse of hope. made my claim yesterday, it was successful today received BRAND NEW 3GS 16GB replacement for my old 3G......

good luck with havin iphone 4 on the 3 network ..... if u think O2 CS is bad ..... 3 CS won't even answer your the call! I wud rather pay a little extra for better coverage.

Perhaps they have realised it's pointless sending out refurbs after all the complaints....we live in hope.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a reply from a complaint? I faxed the complaints dept yesterday
