iOS vs Android - let the battle commence!

So....... I don't come here often. But when I do, most know I'm a die hard iOS fanboy.

However, I did something strange yesterday and ordered the OnePlus 3T. From O2 naturally.

Here's the plan. I have 14 days to decide whether to keep the OnePlus 3T or revert back to my trusty iPhone 6s Plus. I am going to turn off my iPhone when I receive the new phone. Save for taking pictures of the new phone.

I'm going to keep a diary on here of my experiences and try to update it everyday.

Is there anything people want to know specifically or things people want me to address during this?

Hahahahah, you Android lot are a little bit strange. 🙃🙃

So. We left the story at my phone not being able to charge. I now have a replacement. And now we can continue.

I have a few notes to make about the phone and the operating system.

Firstly, the phone is very nice to handle. It feels very very premium and I find that I keep picking it up just to fondle it.

The colours on the display are very vivid. You can clearly see the difference between LCD and AMOLED. However, the screen doesn't appear to be as sharp as that of the iPhone 6s Plus, even though both are the same size and resolution.

Another great thing about Android is obviously the customisation options. Just digging into the settings a little bit revealed I could change the phone to suit me. Great 👍

The fingerprint reader also works very nicely. It's just as fast as it's iPhone equivalent. I also enjoy the double tap to wake feature.

I'm also looking forward to using Android 7.0 when it's released (reports say it should be on the 15th of this month)

I do have one problem though which may send me right back into the arms of Apple. The apps on android seem not to be as polished as their iOS counterparts. I think this is especially true when it comes to using the screen estate.

However, for the moment, the phone stays. I'm committed to giving the phone its fair shot.

I will be posting later about my adventures transferring everything from iOS to Android.
