i have been charged about £15 for using code 88288 and i haven't a clue what this is.

This number is a scam and known to Watchdog. Apparently it comes from a company called juicy win. You can read of more instances of people being scammed through this company who use this code

http://www.smswatchdog.com/list.php Did you sign up for any competitions or anything similar?

Either way do not text stop as apparently some people have been charged for doing that. You need to report them here.... http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/
