I've just received a text message advising me of the new tariffs being introduced on 7th May 2015. Full details are included in the following link:

Although out of bundle charges have gone up, the increased allowances and the introduction of 4G at the £10 price point, make this a better option than some of the current pay monthly deals. Am I missing something? Or can someone tell me if the pay monthly deals are changing as well?

It's typical though, just as I'd decided to make the change to pay monthly, there doesn't seem much point

Swings and roundabouts with the lower cost pay monthly sim only deals, they are all unlimited texts and you get other benefits such as use of Tu Go.

Yes, I'm trying to think of any benefits that might sway my decision towards going down the pay monthly route (visual voicemail is another one). But I've always imagined that pay monthly would work out cheaper in the long run, and surely that should be the biggest incentive to get customers to commit to a contract. So I'm surprised by O2's pricing strategy to be honest.
