I've just received a text message advising me of the new tariffs being introduced on 7th May 2015. Full details are included in the following link:
http://s.o2.co.uk/PricingB/solfIT
Although out of bundle charges have gone up, the increased allowances and the introduction of 4G at the £10 price point, make this a better option than some of the current pay monthly deals. Am I missing something? Or can someone tell me if the pay monthly deals are changing as well?

With the change that voicemail is now included in the minutes allowance P&G is becoming the better option for many.

I have voicemail turned off (because I go abroad such a lot) Before this I found myself phoning the caller (if I knew them) rather than listen to VM

Just a shame the extra data bolt ons are still so expenstive £10 for 1gb of data come on what a joke its 2015 for crying out loud the price of 1gb of extra data should be £3.00,
The £25 big bundle is a step forward be should be with 6gb of data not 4gb as thats to low,
They should also put a £30 big bundle with 6gb of data and £35 one inc 8gb of data o2 would be winning payg customers from ee,
On another note you can get £8gb of data on tesco mobile payg (runs on 02) for £20 plus a free add on as you toped up over £15 (free min txt or data) and free triple credit (£40) to spend on calls text and data http://www.tescomobile.com/help-and-support/1082-pay-as-you-go/1092-bundles/pay-as-you-go-data-bundl...
So to sum that up on tesco PAY AS YOU GO you can get 8gb of data 5000 free texts (free bundle) and free £40 to spend on calls (= to 160mins) not bad for £20 as most people with smart phones use more data than mins and if you use all the 8gb of data you can log in your online account and buy another 8gb bundle,

lol I am just giving my option on what would be a better level to gain customers for o2 payg and for the info i posted on tesco mobile that info is for pay as you go not contract you can just pick up a sim card in any tesco store and o2 even own a part of tesco mobile,
I have tested o2 pay monthly speeds vs tesco payg vs lyca payg and on 3g and 4g here there is no diffrence at all
I have also tested Lyca mobile at the same time here speeds are the same as o2 aswell here, You can get 6gb of data for £15 or 7gb for £17 including unlimited mins and text this goes to show how expensive 02 payg is http://www.lycamobile.co.uk/en/bundles

But thanks for all your replies, it's been useful in helping me make my mind up. For around a tenner, PAYG still seems to offer the best value at the moment, particularly where data is concerned. So for the time being at least, I think I'll stay as I am.
