Three/o2 Merger - Thoughts?

Just seen this... http://www.three.ie/three-and-o2/ A sign of things to come in the UK? Hopefully we'll see improvements in coverage by sharing masts? Also would love to see the "Feel at Home" roaming available to us o2 customers!

upgrading a 30 day contract to a phone contract?

does anyone know if you can upgrade to a pay monthly phone contract whilst being on a 30 day contract, im currently on 02 £12.50 30 day contract and was wondering if this was possible?if so when's the earliest you upgrade?thanks in advance
