This has been mentioned in another thread but deserves a section of its own I think. @MI5 and myself have noticed a changed to Contact Preferences. Initially I had opted out of Marketing info....today we noticed there is a new layout for the page and suddenly mine have been turned on...Advise everyone to check. Mine looks like this...(or did as I have now turned off everything except Priority) @Toby is currently checking when these changes took place..

I am also furious at myself for not checking this. I am usually quite methodical at doing this sort of stuff and pretty quick to notice any changes. Sadly... other matters have taken precedence this last week or so ..and actually no...it shouldn't be down to me to check....I should be warned of any changes to my account....also this sort of change should NEVER have been allowed!

Interesting because MyO2 hasn't been changed. Third Party was still set to "NO"

 

This is the account I set up on or about 02/04/2016 with the International SIM for charity donations.

Agreed - We shouldn't have to check.

If I wish to change my preferences, I will do it myself - not when O2 decide I want to change my mind.....!

Correction, 2 April was the purchase date, 8 April was the daate the SIM was inserted and MyO2 was created.

 

So whatever changes have been made were done prior to the 8 April because that's when I set my preferences.

I too have an International sim @Beenherebefore, and like you, my Third Party preferences were still on NO.

What's also disturbing is that if you do make any changes, it says at the bottom of the page that it can take up to 28 days for the changes to take effect! By that time, every spammer and scammer in the world will have your number.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

They've already got our details now anyway, thanks to O2 and yet another system glitch (or intentional act).
