I live in Bishop's Stortford and the data is awful! I have logged the issue twice on the app and still no resolution. I'm going to return my contract (in still my cooling off period) if this isn't resolved by tomorrow.

It wont be better by tomorrow, I think we can all tell you that based on experience..
Also why didn't you get some PAYG sims before leaving your old network, as it would have saved you a world of pain..
I would just take it back now, or contact o2 if it was done online and start the process to do the 14day return..

Never rely on coverage maps. The map does not reflect the quality of the signal or the capacity available for the number of subscribers

Does O2 have a separate mobile data (mini router) option?

Yes, but it won't be any use to you if there's no signal @RyanB
Have you actually checked for any known issues or maintenance?

Yes, I've logged 2 calls and both confirmed there were no network issues. New phone as well. So it must just be a poor data signal in the area. What a shame. EE data was fantastic but calls were bad. I've traded one problem for another!

Did you not have VoLTE?
Voice & data use the same network signal, but VoLTE should always take priority. Increased data volumes require additional capacity - this will never be shown on coverage maps.
