I'm travelling to India and I have an iPhone5 on 02, if I get a pay as you go sim from India would this work on my iPhone or does the phone need to be unblocked

Yes you need to unlock it first.

They can usually do it within 72 hours but it can take up to seven days fill in the form ASAP

As long as the form has been filled in whilst you are still in the UK the phone being in India won't stop the unlock process going through.

You may just have a couple of days to wait once you get there but fill in the form now.
