I have recently moved from EE to O2 on a SIM only deal.
I have been with EE for a long time, but moving to O2 has been eye-opening, their data service is horrendous in comparison. Is this normal?
I listen to music on my commute and O2 cant even stream a full song on apple music/spotify/TIDAL when out in the car (never had this issue on EE).
I have updated carrier settings, double checked APN details... i am not sure what else there is to do?
Does anyone have acceptable data that doesnt cut out mid-song stream?
Might be straight back to EE.
Any advice welcome.

Should have checked first.
Best advice is to switch back to EE.

It all depends where you are as in our location o2 is the best, and dont have a problem, Three comes second followed by EE, and then Vodafone..
You should have tested the network before jumping ship.. as others have said if still within 14days port back out if not tough luck you are stuck for the length of your contract..

You @DanL might want to look at this app :-
My Network App - Find Out More About Your Network Coverage | Apps | O2

Understand your network coverage
With the My Network app you can keep an eye on your coverage, wherever you are. Download the app and you’ll be able to:
- check the status of our network in your area – you don’t even need to enter your postcode
- test your network speeds
- report any issues with your service.
It’s simple to use and means that you can check the network without having to visit the main site or even enter a postcode.
However, if the network really is deficient in the locations that you frequent, you have still got a problem.
