Slow data when travelling

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

When I travel in Europe I never get 4G... only 3G but incredibly slow... so painfully slow that I can't even usually download WhatsApp pics. I hear other networks give great fast 4G to travellers. Can someone please explain why the speed is so slow abroad?

Kind regards

Josh

O2 has no 4G roaming agreements with any countries abroad. The best you will get is 3G and thespeeds are awful

O2 do not have any 4g roaming agreements and they also only buy very little bandwidth from the roaming networks, so all O2 data roaming is slow.

It's highly unlikely to change but we won't really know until after the 15th.
