I key into the Community Search box ross brawn and the following results are produced.

N.B. It says Do you mean Ross brawn undeneath the actual search requested.

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=ross+brawn

After clicking on the alternative search Ross brawn the following is returned :

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=Ross%20brawn

Can anybody explain to me the difference between the 2 sets of results ?

Yes just put a Google search box instead of their own useless search box!

Yes, @Beenherebefore, perhaps O2 Forum Support are taking the easy way out, and hoping everyone will leverage an external search engine, such as Google, for searching the forums... Or is it "fora"? Zipped

Currently those I have mentioned have been related to Off Topic threads. I wouldn't use Google for those type of posts.  I do use Google a hell of a lot when searching for specific O2 related links (or technical answers). O2 Insurance was the last one I searched for today ....I didn't even try the Forum search box. Straight to google which gives me the answers I want.... and ALL related to O2 insurance,

I also have 100's of O2 links stored in One Note. I started this years ago when I realised the forum search facility wasn't fit for purpose...

Hey guys sorry for the late reply on this one!

We're going to raise this with the platform provider to ask why you get a duplicate result off the suggested search and also see if any improvements can be made to the overall functionality. wink

Just ask them to change their search box for a Google search function. Theirs needs to be rebuilt from scratch.
