Say Goodbye to Unlimited Data Tariffs

Looks like O2 are going to follow AT&T's lead by getting rid of the Unlimited Data tariffs for smartphones and iPhones.

Doesn't even look like they're goig to do an unlimited data bolt on!

This could get very expensive!

Just found this on Which Website

Well i put my name down straight away for a new iphone 4 and today they send me an email with the tarriffs on. Whats the point in having a top end Smartphone that makes the web a pleasure to use if you cant bloody use it. Why spend £40 a month having to worry about how much data you have used. And as mentioned before the MMs is now charged at 20p.
Ive been with o2 since the days of BT Cellnet and now it looks like i am no longer encouraged to stay with them.
Anyone who uses Youtube, Spotify, Last FM or alike can look forward to a nice big bill as youll easily pass your data limit.
i hope some O2 reps read these posts because your going to lose a whole lot of business

and now this! I am eligible to upgrade on 24th but this has just put the brakes on, however, although I am a high internet user, how do I find out my usage for the last 18 months of my contract? 500mb doesn't really mean a whole lot me, but if it was unlimited before and is now limited and no cheaper where's the fairness in that? well o2, after 11 years of solid commitment it seems to be time to look elsewhere.

@barry-TV

go to the setting on your iPhone, then General, then usage.
the cellular network data is down the page.. shocked to find I have only recieved 1.5gb since Dec 2009 and I thought I used the phone a lot

so maybe 500mb isn't so bad, and the signal might improve ??

Your online bill should be able to tell you your data traffic as well, but don't ask me how, as I never look at my bills, I just heard someone else mention it
