This is what I'm finding round here, used to get strong signal and excellent dl speed, floats at 1-2 bars now and less than 10Mb/S

There is also a £60 line installation cost if you don't already have a fibre cable but even so will give a good saving after the initial outlay.

I think the £60 is if you don't already have a compatible landline, i.e.  BT or Sky s if you have Virgin then the £60 applies or if you want a new connection.

BT Infinity equivalent is currently for a 12 month contract (Voda is 18 months)

£25 + £18.99 line rental with UK W/E calls incl currently there's no activation fee on the 76Mb connection

Vodafone equiv call package is £4pm

So Voda = £32pm........BT £43.99pm

Don't Virgin use fibre up to a point then co-ax to the property ?

I've got co-ax for BB but still got the old BT line to the house separately, which is why I wondered, but maybe that's not how they do it now?

If it's a BT line then you're OK even if you pay Virgin for it.

The only proviso is that Voda won't arrange the changeover with Virgin, you must do it.....not sure why as any other provider Voda will arrange everything with the current provider
