Reporting spam texts to O2 - broken.

Just had a spam text message so I forward it to 7726 as I do with all spam texts, instead of the normal reply you normally get, this time I got the following reply from O2.

 

"Thanks for sending O2 your unwanted SPAM message, It's been passed to our SPAM manager for action, please can you send us the number or name it originated from."

 

I take it forwarding spam texts to O2 via 7726 is now broken then?

are you using a different phone? Some phones don't forward the number when you send the text so you have to make sure you include it in the text you send...

Same phone I've used for the last year, reported plenty of spam texts to 7726 before from this phone & never had this reply before.

I am having the same problem on both mine and my daughter's blackberries. Has previously worked on both but now we both receive the same reply as the OP. I replied sending the number the spam had come from and received the same response.
