Reception problems

For the last few days we've had poor reception at home, mainly 1 or 2 bars. I've contacted O2 and was told it was a mast that was having some work done on it and it would be fixed by last night. No surprise I'm still having the same problems. This is becoming a real problem - is there anything I can do?

If there is a definite mast problem there is nothing you can do, O2 will fix it as soon as possible.

 

In the meantime try cleaning the sim card and rebooting the phone periodically to refresh the network settings. Monitor the mast progress here : O2 Service Status

Hello Superpie and Welcome to the forum,

 

 

As jonsie says its a matter of waiting until any mast issues are resolved.

 

Possibly interim solutions such as 02's Tugo for Pay Monthly Customers which also runs off home wifi ,or alternatives such as WhatsApp or Viber etc could help keep you connected.

 

If your a business customer then a boostbox is an alternative too.

No one can say for sure when a mast will be fixed so it's wrong of cs to say things like that....

When asked about this all we can find out is that the network teams cannot contact or answer questions from customer service staff.

 

I could imagine an engineer at the top of a mast answering questions in a blizzard about how long it will be before it's fixed, and judging some of the comments and anger seen here in the forum, it's never likely to change.

I don't see why they can't provide estimated not guaranteed fix times most companies do when there is a fault with there services
