Hi Guys (and girls)
I really dont know if anyone can help but as i am deserate, and you have been helpfull in the past so here goes.
My son from Australia cannot find his phone so its assumed lost, so question 1, having rang the phone his voice mail greeting answers does this mean that the sim is still in the phone, question 2 is there any magic wand to get his contacts back, not forgetting its OZ orientated and they seem to be a little behind with things like cloud and such like, yes its lost in UK defo,
(I cant help but think that any bad minded person would have whipped the sim out on finding the phone, so am still hopefull its in good hands) wishfull thinking.
thanks guys.

The phone going to voicemail doesn't mean that the sim is still in the phone. Your son needs to contact his network provider in Australia and report the phone as lost/stolen. He is responsible for any and all charges until he does. What phone was it? If Android, his contacts might be backed up in his Gmail account. If iPhone they might be backed up in iCloud.

The whole point of the cloud is that you can access your stuff from anywhere with an internet connection.
As Bambino says you must stop the sim.
