Apparently there are issues with voice calls for some customers (tipped of by Rory Cellan-Jones).
Warning on the https://status.o2.co.uk/ page that it is being looked into...
Not sure if this is correct place - maybe needs a duplication on Pay Monthly / Pay as You Go sections?

Certainly is. Tried to ring my son 3 times this morning. His phone did not connect. I rang from the landline and got through.
Just tried my husbands phone. Dead as a dodo!!

It would seem O2 is the China of the networks as apparently the problem originates with O2.
EE told the BBC it is something "that is affecting all operators and we are working closely to fix it".
The problem is being blamed on "interconnect issues" stemming from one operator, O2.
"We don't believe it is connected to the rise in home working [due to the coronavirus]," added EE

@Chris_K is this also affecting calls made on the 5G network as this is not mentioned on any of the messages here or on the status website?
Hi @gmarkj - 5G is not affected by this issue.
