So I have received this latest text from O2. Do I need to check my preferences? I can't believe anything they say these days about marketing!

"Please be reassured nothing is ever changed on your account without you telling us to do so."
That's a bald-faced lie. Not long ago, everyone's preferences were set back to O2's default which is to allow contact from O2's 'trusted partners', some of who are no more than scam artists, cold calling and selling products people don't want or need. This was done without anyone's permission.

No, they denied they did that (twice) so it's OK to say it !

Absolutely true. They have done it twice to my knowledge though they deny it...

Probably best ignored.
