I've got a pay as you go O2 sim card. Last year I bought in London an Iphone4 at an O2 shop. I've got the unlock problem, because I live in Italy and it doesn't work with my Vodafone Italia sim.
I would like to top up my O2 sim, so that I could try to unlock it through the web unlocking form, but I didn't find any possible way to top up from here.
I obviously don't have a UK credit/debit card. I have a Visa credit card and a paypal account.
I also asked a friend of mine who is now in Ireland if she could top up for me, but she told me the O2 Ireland is different from the O2 UK, and so she wasn't able too to make a top up for me.
So, what should I do? If I don't top up my O2 sim, sooner or later it will expire due to the fact that I cannot use it to call or send sms.
And I also cannot use my Iphone with my Italian sim card!
Do you know any website or someone who could help me making an O2 top up/voucher from England, or sending me the code through the internet or by mail at home?

the iphone has to be actually on the o2 uk network at the timethe unlock is processed so trying to get a topup done and then request the unlock will be a waste of money.
Only be getting the phone to the uk can you get it officially unlocked.

If a friend brings is over tops up £20 makes a few calls in the uk then requests at a shop or online it should work but on o2 could confirm that and they do not post that often. As these forums are customer to customer help.

I have only unlocked using the online form not in the shop.
So until you get an official reply from o2 email support you could try sending a pm on here to zoe@o2 or abs@o2 and they may help you

Ok thank you for your help.
However, some days ago O2 replied and told me it was possible to unlock by filling in the form (and they gave me the direct link of that form).But they didn't tell me it was necessary to have the Iphone in the UK when I unlock it... Well, I wait for the reply to the e-mail I sent them few seconds ago.
