Thank you for your reply.
I clicked on Contact Us and it took me to this Community Forum. I thought it would be manned by an O2 moderator.
The billing texts are handy to receive, and this one was a billing text. Thanks.
Even though they are automated, they should be scheduled to be sent during the daytime. Do you know how I can contact Customer Services by email please?
Thank you

There is no email for standard customer services @DontTextAt230am - the only departments are credit referrals and complaints as far as I can remember.
If you don't want to speak to someone you could use social media?
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG),
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

If you set up Do Not Disturb on you phone to switch on and off at pre determined times, end of problem
Mine is set to only allow notifications from people in my contact list
